Chilling on the blocks

I recently rescanned this picture from my first self-developed black and white roll. It looks much better now. Can’t believe it was more than one year and a half ago. Time really flies, doesn’t it? I just wish I could learn how to avoid wasting my time. Time is so precious.

Dear Universe help me being more conscious about how I spend my time from now on.

kristenwithacamera asked: “Also! Would you recommend Imagekind? Anything someone who is looking into it should know about it? Thanks so much!”

I have setup an Imagekind account some weeks ago, as well as a Redbubble and an Artflakes one. Among these three print on demand services, the one I like more is Artflakes, the price scheme is somehow more friendly to the artist, and I like the fact that you don’t need to buy a “pro” account to have access to all features. My initial intention with these websites was to upload some of my favourite photos and then let people know about these pages so that those who were interested in buying prints and thus supporting my work could have had a choice with respect to prices, formats and shipment costs. Unfortunately, I severely underestimated the effort it takes to produce an high quality 20Mpx scan from one single photo, including cloning out every single dust spec. So far I have only uploaded some twelve pictures, also because in the meantime I had to move to a new apartment and all my photographic equipment and negative sleeves are still packed somewhere in one of my thousand bags scattered everywhere on the floor. That’s why I didn’t actively advertised the possibility to buy prints, apart from a link on the bottom of my page. I didn’t abandon the idea of making more photos available for print! I just need to settle down and find some time to scan my photos. Speaking of which, I would encourage my friends to make suggestions on which photos of mine they would be interested in buying prints of. That would be really appreciated. Thanks for you message and good luck with your work!

iwouldbeme asked: “Your pictures are simply refreshing!”

Like a thunderstorm on a summer day?

chiperpollnine asked: “Do you always print your photos?”

Not as much as I would like to, unfortunately. So far I have only printed a few photos, which I gave to my friends and family. Lately I’ve been busier than ever, my job is taking up most of my time during the week plus I’m in the process of moving to a new apartment. Hopefully I’ll be able to settle down in a few weeks and start going to the darkroom again. And you, how often do you print your photos?

Me and my Minolta CLE.

I never go out without bringing a camera along, and the CLE is my choice most of the time. Such a babe! :)

theauroraeffect asked: “I just wanted to let you know how very flattered I am that you followed me in return; your photographs are magnificent, and have inspired me. Also, you are my first follower (:”

I should be the one inspired by your photographs, each one of them tells me something, it is a real pleasure for me to follow your blog.

Thank you!
